Thankful Thursday

Verse of the Day:
"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4

Hello y'all. Hope everyone is doing well. Well, last night was eventful to say the least. I took the girls to AWANA while I went to a Bible Study at the Main Chapel on Ft Dix and we ran into the first problem when they said there was no room for Emily in the 3 year old program so they put her in the same room with Isabella and some other babies. That did not sit well with me at all and will NOT happen again next week. The next problem I ran into was the actual Bible Study. Oh geez, how do I put it without sounding condescending? It is like the lady that did the study simply read the book the class was using to study the Book of John and that is it! I grew up in a pastor's home and my dad studied for hours and hours and a lot of times days for a single sermon. He  KNEW what he was preaching before he got behind that pulpit. He was very knowledgeable as were the Sunday School teachers I sat under growing up. I feel like I was more knowledgeable than the teacher was! I mean I didn't get anything out of what was being taught. I could give instances of how she showed she didn't study very much, but it would take too long to type so those of you who were with me or know me, just ask :) I am not sure if I will be going back. If they can get Emily into the 3 year old class where she belongs then probably so just so the girls can get involved. And this all brings me to my verse of the day. We NEED His Word to survive and stay fed as a Christian and I am getting that reading the Bible for myself, BUT I NEED the fellowship and a Pastor or teacher to feed me as well. Please pray for us! My girls need to be in Church on a regular basis. They need to know that on Sundays and Wednesday nights are set aside for Church. Everyday is God's day and we try to show that in our everyday life by what we do and say, but they need a church environment.

Well, off that subject. Me and the girls have a few things planned today. Going to get them ready  very soon to head to the commissary for groceries. Then back home for naps while I clean. Then tonight we are having company for dinner. I look forward to spending some time with one of my favorite families! Hopefully I will remember to take pictures to share with you all tomorrow.

Well, as far as my diet goes I am only down .8 lb!! Another stall in a way. I ate too late last night I think is what happened. My actual meal not my snack.

This is Thankful Thursday so I want to take time to thank God for all He is has done for me and my family. He has let me borrow 2 very beautiful little girls to raise and a hard working husband who takes care of us. We have a roof over our head and food to eat. But most important of all I want to thank Him for the gift of His SON. Thank you Lord, for sending Him to die in our place! Thanks to Jesus, I do not have to go to hell. My sins were covered in the blood almost 2000 years ago! My salvation was completed almost 2000 years ago. Thank you Lord, for making it so easy. Salvation is not what you do or say it is what has already been done! Thank you Lord for the written Word you have given us to read and learn more about you. All the answers to life's problems are in the Bible. All you have to do is read. Thank you Jesus for being our mediator to God the Father. Thanks to Him we now have a direct line to God. Isn't that amazing!!?
