"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6
I hope everyone is not too stressed out right now. I hope everyone takes time and remembers why we celebrate Christmas. It is NOT Santa or presents BUT Jesus! This is the time of year we have set aside to celebrate His birth. Ask my 3 year old what Christmas is all about and she will tell you :)
Things have been nutso for us lately BUT I have all of my Christmas shopping done and my meal for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day planned. Now if my 23 month old will hurry and cut the last 3 molars we will be good to go! It is like someone came in the middle of the night and replaced my sweet baby with someone else.
I do have a very special prayer request for everyone. My sister, Jenny, is 20 weeks pregnant and Sunday had a very scary experience. Without getting into too much detail, she became fully dilated without her knowledge. They ended up having to do a Cervical Cerclage on her and it took 2 hours to complete and for a while thought they were not going to be able to do it and prepared the family for the worst. There was trouble getting the bag of water back where it needed to be. Thank God He is still on the throne and for all of the prayers that went up for her and baby girl because her and baby are doing well. She is on 5 different antibiotics to prevent infection and will be at Fort Sanders in Knoxville until at least after Christmas. She is not out of the woods yet. PLEASE keep her and her unborn baby girl in your prayers. GOD IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL. It is so scary when something like this happens and it makes you appreciate what God has given us that much more. He can take it away at any moment. I look at my precious girls and thank God He has allowed me to raise HIS precious creations. And no matter how batty they drive me, I LOVE THEM and thank God everyday for them. They are happy, healthy little girls. Thank you Lord!
On a different note, I came across a website that I found quite interesting. You wanna say "Thank You" to our troops then this is the way to do it. It is very cool. Click here and follow the directions. You can send a card to a troop here. It is so easy. Pick out a card, fill in with a message they have typed up or type one of your own. They will mail it to a soldier that needs it. SO EASY! I used the website and sent one from my girls.
I will be posting more regularly after Christmas. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and Happy New Year!!
