Verse of the Day:
"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)" I John 1:1&2
So Sorry for the lack of posts. We have been sick , darn allergies, and things have been crazy! The biggest event that happened this past week was my Emma Bug turning 5!! Where does the time go??
The day she was born! We waited on her for over 8 years!
Day before she went home
Emma eating her cake on her actual birthday (her party was Saturday)
So yes, her little get together or party whatever you want to call it, we kept it small, was Saturday. We had a couple of close friends and their families over to celebrate. I loved her Mickey and Minnie Mouse cupcakes. I found the idea on Pinterest.
I had planned on making the actual cupcakes myself, BUT the day of Emily's birthday which was Thursday, she ended up at the Dr's office with an ear infection and was out of school the rest of the week. Well that day I had ordered cupcakes from a local place called Columbus Cupcakery to take to her class so I didn't have to make 2 separate batches of cupcakes. Instead of canceling the order I told her to wait until Saturday. Hey, less work for me and her cupcakes are AMAZING! I turned to a friend for the bows and I put the Oreos on myself. SUPER EASY CUPCAKES and anyone can do it. I was pleased :) Like I said, gotta love pinterest.
Well the little party was a success. All of the kids had fun (there were 6 all together..well not including the 12 week old little girl) so it wasn't that small. Small in comparison to how many people I normally have. The girls seem to have more fun with less kids and truth be told, it is much less stress for me!
The second biggest event this week was registering my Bella Bear for preschool. Pemberton Township has an all day preschool program for 3 and 4 year olds which is what my Emma Bug is in now she moves on to kindergarten in September though :'( So on top of DH deploying soon BOTH of my babies will be in school. What am I gonna do with myself? Oh wait, there is cleaning the house IN PEACE, working out, finally being able to volunteer for things :) Reading a book when I want, watching what I want on TV for a change, and of course shopping with NO kids! Okay so not too bad, but I will still cry!! One thing I do need to figure out is drop offs! They are 2 totally different schools, 10 minutes apart, that start at the same time! I will figure it out. I am supermom after all :)
Anyway, enough rambling. I hope everyone has a blessed day! Catch you tomorrow for Tasty Finds Tuesday!
